About Us

We are a “social club with a social conscience”.

​

We are a group of people who make a difference to the lives of Consett people when times are difficult.

​

Since 1942 Consett Rotary has helped people in need.

We have supported:

• Willowburn Hospice

• MacMillan

• Daft as a Brush Ambulances

• Henry Dancer Days

• The Biking Vikings and brain tumour research

• Fire service benevolent fund

• British legion

 

We run a weekly dementia friendly choir where people can drop in and enjoy a sing along.

​

We also hold a dementia café once a month in Consett Methodist Church.

​

So we try and give something back to our community and have been doing so for over 80 years.
