Memory Cafe
We run a Memory Cafe in Consett at Consett Methodist Church on Station Road on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 2pm.
​
It is for anyone who has a memory problem and for their carers to enjoy a chat, to reminisce, to have lighter moments through laughter and maybe have a bit of a sing-song session while enjoying a cup of tea and a biscuit.

We enjoy the support of Durham County Carers who send along a staff member every couple of months to advise and support carers on any difficulties they may be experiencing.

Dementia Choir
Our club has a Dementia friendly Choir.
The group meets every Tuesday afternoon in Citizens House Station Road Consett from 1.15pm to 3.15pm. The Choir is part of the group of three Dementia friendly choirs run by Bethany Elen Coyle in County Durham.
It is for everyone who enjoys singing and loves laughter. The site is fully accessible and refreshments are provided. Members are encouraged to choose songs they like and love.
